MALANG – As an effort to strengthen modern and integrated institutional governance, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang is seriously working on developing... Enterprise Architecture (EA). Strategic projects that have been running since November 2025 This is the result of collaboration between UIN Malang and Braindevs, expert consultant in the field of information technology architecture and organizational transformation.
The development of this EA is not just a technological system update, but rather the preparation of a large roadmap that aligns the university's vision with execution in the field.
One of the main urgencies of developing this EA is to provide a helicopter view (bird's-eye view) for institutional leaders. Through a structured architecture, UIN Malang can analyze and evaluate all business processes running across various units.
The main advantages of implementing this EA include:
- Efficiency Audit: Identify whether the current business processes are efficient or whether there is still overlap (redundancy).
- Target Accuracy: Ensuring that every activity in the work unit is aligned with the university's strategic goals.
- Data Integration: Building a foundation so that data flow between units is no longer compartmentalized (silo), but rather they are intelligently integrated with each other.

To date, the mapping and development process continues to show a positive trend. Several work units within UIN Malang have entered the intensive phase of architectural development, with PTIPD (Center for Information Technology and Database) is one of the units that is being worked on in depth.
PTIPD, as the heart of university technology, is a crucial point in this EA mapping to ensure that the digital infrastructure being built is truly capable of supporting the academic and administrative needs of the entire academic community in the long term.
Election Braindevs as a partner based on their track record of designing complex architectures across large organizations. The synergy between Braindevs' technical expertise and the UIN Malang team's deep understanding of academic culture is expected to create a resilient and adaptive organizational profile to changing times.
This long step which started at the end of last year is a big investment for UIN Malang to become Smart University. With streamlined and targeted business processes, UIN Malang is ready to provide international-standard educational services supported by increasingly professional management.
